Why is making an "Estimate of Giving" so important?
|
By completing and returning an Estimate of Giving Card, you are expressing your intent and affirming your desire to honor God with your resources. Returning your Estimate of Giving Card makes it possible for our church to plan and implement ministries without hesitation. Knowing your plans allows wise management of resources throughout the year. All ministries our church implements are dependent on the generosity of our congregation.

You can download the Estimate of Giving form below and mail it to the Office at the church address.

Methods of Giving:
Many members choose to participate in electronic funds transfer (EFT) for automated, regular giving. Contact the office to set up your EFT.
Others prefer giving with cash or check during the "pass the plate" offertory time in worship or online with Bank Account or Credit Card.
To give via stock transfer, please contact the office for process.
If you are 70 1/2 years of age or older, you can give up to $100,000 directly to charity from your IRA tax-free. You can exclude the amount of the charitable distribution from your income, lowering your overall tax liability. Distributions to charity also can satisfy your required minimum distribution. This gift option provides tax savings even if you do not itemize deductions.
If you're a visitor in worship please don't feel obligated to put something in the plate; please know this is one of the many ways people support the ministries and outreach of Excelsior UMC.
