"BE INSPIRED!"
That's our 2013 stewardship campaign theme and our personal challenge for each member to find ways to grow deeper in our faith. This season, we ask you to:
Your generous gifts help our congregation carry out our mission "…to be a welcoming Christian community that helps connect faith journeys with life's journey and inspires the sharing of time, talents, and treasures." Your gifts help us to retain dedicated staff. They, in turn, help us to nurture our faith. Staff help us to support our children and youth with faithful vitality, help them to discover Christ in many ways, and provide a safe place to explore the big questions of life. Our staff also directs us to express our love for God with music in worship. Staff guides us to reach beyond the walls of our church to serve others in our community, state, and world." One way to continue to strengthen and grow the ministries of EUMC is to consider gifting a portion of your financial blessings to God through your tithes and offerings. We hope that everyone returns an Estimate of Giving Card for the upcoming year. You can always increase or decrease your commitment if your life situation changes. Estimate of Giving Cards:
Methods of Giving:
Many members choose to participate in electronic funds transfer (EFT) for automated, regular giving. Contact the office to set up your EFT giving. Others prefer giving weekly during the "pass the plate" offertory time in worship. If you're a visitor in worship please don't feel obligated to put something in the plate; please know this is one of the many ways people support the ministries and outreach of Excelsior UMC.

"What inspires you about EUMC?" You said:
Why is "Estimate of Giving" so important?
By completing and returning an Estimate of Giving Card for 2014, you are expressing your intent and affirming your desire to honor God with your resources. Returning your Estimate of Giving Card makes it possible for our church to plan and implement ministries without hesitation. Knowing your plans allows wise management of resources throughout the year. All ministries our church implements are dependent on the generosity of our congregation. Over the past three years, we have made up the budget deficit with emergency funds. This is unsustainable.
You can submit the enclosed estimate of giving form and bring it with you to worship on Stewardship Sunday, November 17, or mail it to the Finance Committee at the church address. What happens to my Estimate of Giving Card once I return it? Your Estimate of Giving Card will remain confidential and is not a legally binding contract. It is your personal commitment to the Lord in support of EUMC. If your situation changes and you would like to increase or decrease your estimate, please contact the Finance Committee. Thank you for returning your card by Nov. 17!
