“Real” Women BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area) trip Wednesday, July 26th - Sunday, July 30th
This is a call for all church women to consider joining us for the 36th annual Real Women's trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. The trip is open to all women 18 years or older. Participants have ranged in age from 19 to the mid 70s. We have a great time on these trips with much laughter, camaraderie, and time for reflection. We sleep in tents and the ground can be hard but that seems a small price to pay for the chance to experience God's beautiful creation. And don't worry that you may go hungry. We eat extremely well. A sampling of past dinners include pork tenderloin, quesadillas, and tortellini. No freeze dried food for us.
We will stay overnight in Grand Marais then paddle into the Boundary Waters on Thursday, then return home on Sunday. These trips are a great time of renewal and we encourage women who have never gone before to consider joining us!
WIMPS (Women Interested in More Plush Surroundings) Weekend: Fri.-Sun. July 21st - 23rd
We are revisiting Duluth this year for our WIMPS trip! We meet at church, then carpool to Duluth! We shall eat, shop, and visit gardens and museums! And perhaps we will even take to the trails on our bikes or SEGWAYS! Sign up with us, and we shall hone our trip to your liking! Come and enjoy a relaxing, fun, fellowshippy weekend with us!
Men’s Fall Retreat at Kowakan Friday-Sunday, September 15th–17th
Take a weekend off the grid to relax and enjoy some well-earned R&R in the North Woods to Ko-Wa-Kan near Ely! It promises to be a great weekend of being in the outdoors with the hint of fall colors, the call of loons, soaring eagles, scenic paddling on a few day trips, amazing night skies, warm campfires, great food and good friendship! And if we're lucky, maybe we'll even have a shore dinner of fresh fish!
All you'll need to bring is a sleeping bag and fishing gear if you want to fish. Canoes, paddles, PFDs/life vests, food, cooking gear, etc., will be furnished. We base camp at the Ko-Wa-Kan camp at night, and do canoe trips during the day.
