“Real” Women BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area) trip
Thursday, July 26th - Monday, July 30th
This is a call for all church women to consider joining us for the annual Real Women's trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. The trip is open to all women 18 years or older, no experience necessary! Participants have ranged in age from 19 to the mid 70s. We have a great time on these trips with much laughter, camaraderie, and time for reflection. We sleep in tents and the ground can be hard but that seems a small price to pay for the chance to experience God's beautiful creation. And don't worry that you may go hungry. We eat extremely well. A sampling of past dinners include pork tenderloin, quesadillas, and tortellini. No freeze dried food for us. Estimated cost $200/person. These trips are a great time of renewal and we encourage women who have never gone before to consider joining us!
WIMPS (Women Interested in More Plush Surroundings) Weekend: Friday July 20th - Sunday, July 22nd

We will leave church in the morning on July 20 around 9am to drive up to Lake Superior and have a lunch stop along the way! We will stay again at the WONDERFUL Woodside Cottages, just south of Bayfield on Rte 13. Activities may include: Bayfield Festival of the Arts, Bayfield Maritime Museum; Big Top Chautauqua, Ghost walking tour and an optional bike ride on the Brownstone Trail between our cabins and Bayfield. SHOPPING! EATING! LAUGHING! FELLOWSHIP! Come and bring a friend!
Men’s Fall Retreat at Kowakan
Friday, September 14th - Sunday, September 16th
Take a weekend off the grid to relax and enjoy some well-earned R&R in the North Woods to Ko-Wa-Kan near Ely! It promises to be a great weekend of being in the outdoors with the hint of fall colors, the call of loons, soaring eagles, scenic paddling on a few day trips, amazing night skies, warm campfires, great food and good friendship! And if we're lucky, maybe we'll even have a shore dinner of fresh fish!
All you'll need to bring is a sleeping bag and fishing gear if you want to fish. Canoes, paddles, PFDs/life vests, food, cooking gear, etc., will be furnished. We base camp at the Ko-Wa-Kan camp at night, and do canoe trips during the day.
