ABOUT THE UNITED METHODIST WOMEN OF EXCELSIOR UMC
The purpose of the United Methodist Women is to be a
community of women whose purpose is to know God and
to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus
Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and
to expand concepts of mission through participation in
the global ministries of the church.
The UMW of Excelsior United Methodist Church has 150
members in 5 circles. Each circle independently
supports its members through fellowship, education, and
mission projects.
Circles meet once a month. The meetings cover current
business and will include a program, which might include
a book discussion, speakers on topics of interest,
learning about missions, or programs at the church.
Circles also serve communion and serve ice cream to
residents of the nursing home down the block once year.
Circles are generally formed around common interests
and age. If you are interested in joining a circle, please
contact the church office and we will be glad to help you
seek out a circle.
